“Slytherin.” He pointed to his tie, which was on his head instead of around his neck. “Hufflepuff huh? Is it true you guys aren’t as friendly as you seem?” Nik raised a brow.
Lizzy laughed at his amusing head accessory “Nice!” She pointed to her stomach area showing that her tie was wrapped around her as a belt. “Hufflepuff for life. That just depends on if you get on our bad side. Never mess with a badger.”

“Good, you better.” Nik started to go out of the owlry now. “Hm, do you want to walk with me for a bit? Seeing as we both have a free period?” He offered and stepped out of the door and down the steps.
Lizzy giggled slightly and smiled brightly “Sure I’d love to. Sounds like fun.” She followed him out of the owlry being extra careful this time walking down the steps next to him. “So since we’re in the same year but I have never really seen you around I know that you’re not a Hufflepuff. What house are you in? If you don’t mind me asking.”

Nik had heard and raised a brow but he didn’t say anything as he knew she was saying it to herself more than anything else. “Charms and potions.” He nodded a little. “Maybe next time you’ll see me.”
She was now thinking on why she had never noticed him in those classes. Well obviously she was rubbish in potions and tried her hardest to concentrate in that class leaving her no time to actually see who her classmates were and Charms was probably her favorite class so she was naturally so enthused in what she was doing she once again had no idea who she was learning it with. “Well next class I’m for sure going to keep and eye out.”

Nik laughed and shook his head. “Don’t worry, I’m in the same year.” He smiled at her then checked the time himself, he had Ancient Ruins in an hours time. “Seen you in a couple of my lessons but never really spoke to you.”
Shocked in hearing that Lizzy tried hard to think of all her classes trying to remember maybe seeing him in them. “No way really? Oh I feel bad now for not noticing that. I would normally remember having a cute boy in my class….” She muttered her last sentence more to herself than to him.

“So basically the same as me. Parents huh?” He raised a brow at the last year she said. “Now that…is being paranoid.” Nik pointed at her. “No one’s avoiding you, you must just have a free period and people are in classes.”
“Yep. They constantly worry about me.” Lizzy had never thought of that before. She quickly looked at her wristwatch and realized that she did have a free period when most of the others had class. Slapping her forehead she laughed “Merlin I really am thick sometimes. Bloody sixth year is nothing but free time for me basically.”

“Nice to meet you dizzy Lizzy.” Nik made up a nickname on the spot for her then chuckled. “Dizzy because…what happened and it rhymes.” He shrugged. “Anything interesting you’re sending? I always have my parents and sister on my back to send letters to them so I try once a week.”
“Dizzy Lizzy? I like it!” Lizzy giggled at the nickname, no one had ever called her anything other than Elizabeth or Lizzy before. “Just a quick letter to my parents. Let them know how I am. Tell them how incredibly boring and empty the castle is right now…. That or everyone is just avoiding me.” She took a moment to ponder that possibility.

“No head injuries.” He chuckled lightly then gave her a smile before moving out the way. “You wanted to get to the owls?” Nik indicated for her to go and send whatever she needed to. “I’m Nik by the way.” He gave her a grin.
“Good.” His smile was infectious and she couldn’t help but smile back at him. “Oh right!” She completly spaced and forgot why she was there in the first place. Digging around for the letter than was in her pocket she took out a letter that luckily was only a little crumpled. Flattening it out she stepped towards the closest owl stroking its head “Hello there. You are very pretty.” She praised it before giving her letter. She turned her head back to him and smiled “I’m Lizzy.”

“Woah..woah.” Nik didn’t even manage to get a word in so just stood there with a look on his face while she performed the spell, next he reached over and put his hand on her mouth. “Sh, let me get a word in.” He chuckled then made sure she would stay quiet before taking his hand away. “It’s fine, you don’t have x-ray vision and I’m not hurt in any way.”
Lizzy was just about to start talking again when he had put his hand to her mouth muffling anything she was about to say. When she finally finally quiet and listening to him that’s when the dread feeling of total embarrassment began seep in making her feel so humiliated. “I’m still super sorry. I don’t know what I was thinking.” Giving him a weak smile and in a meek voice she apologized. “I’m glad you’re not hurt. I was worried I might have crushed you or something. No head injuries?”
